Status update for Facebooks Jewish founder: married Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. The couple, who met 10 years ago at Harvard University, were wed in a backyard ceremony at Zuckerberg’s Palo Alto home in front of some 100 surprised guests, who thought they were attending a party celebrating Chan’s recent graduation from medical school. Zuckerberg gave his new bride a ring he designed with a “very simple ruby,” according to a guest. Attendees included Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s Jewish chief operating officer. The normally hoodie-wearing Zuckerberg sported a dark blue suit and tie with a white shirt for the ceremony, while Chan wore a traditional white wedding dress with veil and lace. There was no word on who officiated. Food was served family-style and included dishes from the couple’s favorite Palo Alto sushi restaurant. — jta & ap J. Correspondent Also On J.
