‘Watershed’ moment
The once-mighty Colorado River passes through seven U.S. and two Mexican states, but the river runs dry before it reaches the Gulf of Mexico, with 70 percent of the water diverted for agriculture. “Watershed” tells the story of threats to the river and the people it serves through the eyes of a rancher, rafters, a mayor and a Navajo councilmember. After a screening of the film in Napa, three of the film’s producers, including Congregation Beth Shalom Rabbi Lee Bycel, will discuss the film.
