It’s a winning proposition: Eat and drink to your heart’s desire at Iron Springs on Tuesday, June 19, and the Fairfax pub and brewery will donate 10 percent of its sales to the Osher Marin JCC. That’s right, knock back a beer and support a great Jewish cause. Come and sample what’s on tap, including the Kent Lake Kolsch — it won a bronze medal in 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival — or Sless’s Stimulating Oatmeal Stout, another award-winner.

What could be better than sitting in the bleachers at a ballgame and eating garlic fries? Here’s what: sitting in an infield Jewish rooting section and noshing on a pastrami sandwich and knishes. The Oakland A’s host the second annual Jewish Heritage Night next week when they take on the L.A. Dodgers. If it’s breezy, or even if it’s not, fans can proudly display their heritage with the giveaway scarf (pictured). The A’s have sold nearly twice as many tickets this year, so the game is looking to be a hit.
