Correspondent | June 29, 2012 The Peninsula Jewish Community Center in Foster City is seeking submissions for a community art show to be held Oct. 12 through Dec. 18. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 1. Categories include photography, wall-mounted mixed arts and three-dimensional work. A PJCC selection committee will screen submissions, and a panel from the local arts community will judge the accepted pieces. More than 65 pieces were accepted for the PJCC’s initial community art show in 2010. First-place winners in each category will receive a $500 prize. There also will be a community-choice award voted on by visitors to the exhibit. The winner will receive a three-month membership to the PJCC.
