Let it go

The days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are a time for introspection and humility — and letting go. Every year, the Yeashore community, a group that organizes seasonal bonfires, hosts its annual “Bonfire of Reflection” to honor the Jewish and Celtic new year holidays. This year’s event will include a Havdallah ceremony, singing, storytelling and meditation. Participants are encouraged to bring items they would like to burn symbolically in a letting go ceremony. In the past people have contributed old love letters, business papers and even tax returns.
