‘Women Rabbis, Revealed!’

Forty years ago, Sally Priesand became the first Reform female rabbi ordained in the United States. Tiburon’s Congregation Kol Shofar, which has several women in leadership positions — two rabbis, the executive director and the board president — will celebrate the anniversary with a staging of Rabbi Lynne Kern’s “Stories from the Fringe: Women Rabbis, Revealed!” Jewish Women’s Theater of Los Angeles will perform the play, which is based on interviews with 18 L.A. rabbis and billed as “an inspiring look at the women who are changing the face of Judaism.” A panel discussion will follow.
