The Jewish Communal Service Association of North America will honor a veteran leader and two young professionals who’ve distinguished themselves through exemplary service in their agencies and communities.
Marsha F. Hurwitz, COO of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, will be honored with the Mandelkorn Distinguished Service Award that annually recognizes significant and sustained contributions to Jewish community organization practice.
The JCSA Young Professional Award will go to Mindy Eklove and Daniel Septimus. It recognizes the exemplary service to their agencies and communities by talented individuals who are dedicated to professional careers in the Jewish community. Ecklove is director of Coast to Coast Israel and Overseas partnership program of the Jewish Federation of Canada UIA. Septimus is CEO of MyJewishLearning, Inc.
The awards ceremony will take place at the associations’ General Assembly meeting next summer.
