Annual Jewbilee learning event in Los Gatos Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | January 18, 2013 “Jewbilee! A Day of Jewish Learning” at the Addison-Penzak JCC in Los Gatos is adding two new elements this year: a small book fair and a bone marrow registry sign-up drive. Rabbis, professors, artists and others will participate in the seven-hour day of learning. Organizers describe the event as a chance “to try on a different Jewish hat.” Jonathan Sarna, author of “When General Grant Expelled the Jews,” is the keynote speaker. He is the Joseph H. and Belle R. Braun Professor of American Jewish History at Brandeis University and has written, edited or co-edited more than 20 books. He will speak at 6:30 p.m. The event is scheduled from 1 to 8 p.m. Jan. 27 at the JCC, 14855 Oka Road, Los Gatos. Cost is $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and children.
