Correspondent | January 18, 2013 Hilda and Gerald Jonas Internationally known pianist and harpsichordist Hilda Jonas will celebrate her 100th birthday with family and friends on January 21. She and her late husband Gerald, to whom she was married nearly 70 years, fled Germany in 1938 and moved to San Francisco from Cincinnati in 1975. She has performed in many countries, as well as locally at Temple Emanu-El and annually at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin. She has given many fundraising concerts for Jewish organizations, especially Hadassah. Hilda has two daughters, Susanne and Linda. With the birth of her two great-grandchildren in 2012, she has witnessed six generations of her own family. MAZEL TOV! J. Correspondent Also On J.
