Schmooze. And. Booze. With. Chosen. Words.

If you think the brevity of haiku brings out wisdom, why not whittle your thoughts down even more? Try capturing your religious experience, say, in six words. At the Elbo Room on Feb. 4, comedian Aurora Simcovich, Wise Sons Deli owner Leo Beckerman, writer Josh Healy (pictured) and storyteller Aviva Frank (pictured) will tell the stories of their Jewish lives — all in six words. Admittedly, the storytellers will become more verbose when they explain why they chose these six words, but there will be interactive texting throughout the show and the opportunity to contribute your memoir to a live installation.

6 p.m. happy hour and 7:30 p.m. show. Monday, Feb. 4 at Elbo Room, 647 Valencia St., S.F. $5-$10. Advance tickets recommended at http://sixwordmemoir.eventbrite.com. 21+
