How does the Bay Area do Purim? Fittingly, by celebrating diversity and technology. The JCC of San Francisco will host “Megillah 3.0” in conjunction with its “online Purim experience” of the same name. Video booths, an open bar, comedy performances by the improv group Killing My Lobster (pictured above) and, of course, a Megillah reading all are on tap. Another high-tech event will take place at S.F. Congregation Beth Sholom’s “Megillah Texter and Purim Party,” in which participants will use their cellphones to chime in on the Megillah reading.
