UpStart, the S.F.-based Jewish social innovation incubator and consulting firm, is now accepting applications for its UpStarter program, which provides Jewish entrepreneurs with the resources and support to get their nonprofit ventures off the ground.

Those accepted will join the 10 current UpStarters, a list that includes Moishe House, Urban Adamah, G-dcast and A Wider Bridge.

Melissa Cowan, UpStart’s development officer, said the number of new UpStarters accepted will depend on the number of applications received that show promise and “proof of concept.” In recent years, the number of newbies has ranged from two to four. The deadline for applications is March 8.

Those interested should contact UpStart to set up a preapplication conversation with an UpStart consultant. Learn more by contacting [email protected], calling (415) 536-5918 or visiting www.upstartbayarea.org.
