Correspondent | March 1, 2013 The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center will honor 18 past presidents at its gala and auction on Saturday, March 2 at the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life in Palo Alto. The event will raise funds for preschool, day care and camp scholarships as well as senior services. The theme of the event is “Our Mosaic Journey.” Past presidents to be honored are Kate Feinstein, Judith Moss, Bonnie Tenenbaum, Loren Saxe, Barbara Weiss, Les Burger, Ric Rudman, Reba Cohen, Pete Slosberg, Carol Saal, Steve Bauman, Bruce Fram, Paul Resnick and Daryl Messinger, along with four deceased past presidents: Harvey Koch, Jim Brooks, Lorraine Shevelle and Alex Joffe. The JCC is offering an online auction featuring vacation packages, family photography sessions, spa services and gift certificates to local restaurants. Online bidding ends Friday, March 1. Limited-edition $100 raffle tickets are on sale, with a grand prize of a 24-carat peridot from Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry.
