A suite note

An evening of works by celebrated composer Daniel Asia (pictured), including a world premiere of his “Suite for Cello” with Bay Area cellist Jennifer Kloetzel, will be presented at the Peninsula JCC. Asia infuses Jewish themes into his pieces, including his most recent symphony, which honors Israel’s 60th anniversary and was performed in Jerusalem. Wine and cheese will be served before the 60-minute program, followed by a “meet the artists” dessert reception after the performances.
