The Diller Teen Fellows Program, a 15-month leadership initiative for Jewish teens, is accepting applications through May 10 for its next cohort.

The program, now in its 16th year, aims to empower participants to be active, effective leaders with a strong Jewish identity and a respect for pluralism.

One group of 19 local Diller teens recently hosted 20 Israeli 10th- and 11th-graders from communities in the Upper Galilee. Ten days of activities included a bike ride at Golden Gate Park, synagogue visits and a Shabbat retreat. When the Bay Area Diller teens travel to Israel this summer for three weeks, they will reconnect with their new Israeli friends.

To apply for the next cohort, or to make recommendations of current 10th-graders, contact Michal Kohane at (415) 512-6425 or [email protected].
