Camp Zeke, a pluralistic Jewish overnight camp focused on pure foods, fitness and culinary arts, will open in the summer of 2014 in the New York area.

The Foundation for Jewish Camp, Jim Joseph Foundation and Avi Chai Foundation awarded Zeke a $1.6 million specialty camp incubator grant.

“We’ll be like the health club of camps,” said founder and director Isaac Mamaysky. “Some campers will focus on running, dance or strength training, while others will come to enjoy organic food, create original recipes or just kick-start a more active lifestyle.”
