Fired up for Lag B’Omer

Lag B’Omer is a festive day on the Jewish calendar, celebrated with picnics, bonfires and other events. Most are scheduled for Sunday, April 28; see the “holidays & spiritual” section of the calendar. The holiday marks the 33rd day of the Omer — the verbal counting of the 49 days between Passover and Shavuot — and also celebrates the fighting Jewish spirit.
