The Jewish Sports Hall of Fame of Northern California is holding a Texas Hold ’Em poker tournament to raise money for scholarships for local high school student-athletes.

A $65 buy-in includes beer, wine and snacks, dinner from Amba restaurant and a poker tutorial by professionals, as well as cash and other prizes, such as A’s and Giants tickets.

The fundraiser, open to those 18 and older, is May 19 at Temple Beth Abraham, 327 MacArthur Blvd., Oakland. The bar opens when registration begins at 4:30 p.m., with the tournament set for 5 p.m. For information, visit www.jshofnc.org/pokertourney or email event chair Barry Barnes at [email protected].
