Israeli pride

More than 1,000 people who attended the San Francisco Pride Parade on June 30 also stopped by the Israeli Consulate’s huge booth on McAllister Street (actually three booths put together). Hundreds had their pictures taken against a backdrop of scenes from Tel Aviv, which one poll named last year as the world’s best gay travel destination. Other offerings at the booth included a prize wheel and a place to sit down and relax on the warm Sunday afternoon.
