Listen to your mother!
It’s not really Jewish food without a Jewish mother to cook it and serve it up, right? And you can’t have a Jewish food festival without a Jewish mother offering up her pearls of wisdom, either. Such was the case in Santa Rosa on Aug. 18 as Jo Anne Bressick (right) doled out free advice at Congregation Shomrei Torah’s second annual Jewish Food Fest. More than 1,000 people attended, scarfing down corned beef sandwiches, latkes and pickles and taking home an array of kugel, rugelach and other Jewish baked goods.
