Hanukkah trottin Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | December 6, 2013 Thirty students, parents and staff from Yavneh Day School in Los Gatos were among the record 25,000 participants in the ninth annual Silicon Valley Turkey Trot, held on Thanksgiving in downtown San Jose. The idea going in was for several Yavneh students to run as a “centipede,” tethered together and dressed as candles to form a menorah; while that didn’t quite happen, many of the kids ran together while holding a “Happy Hanukkah” banner. The Yavneh participants wore T-shirts (above right) designed by sixth-grader Amanda Pohland.
