Correspondent | January 31, 2014 “The Congress,” a new futuristic film by Israeli director Ari Folman, will open the San Francisco Independent Film Festival on Thursday, Feb. 6. The French-Israeli live action/animation film stars Robin Wright, Jon Hamm, Paul Giamatti and Harvey Keitel. Folman’s 2008 animated documentary film “Waltz with Bashir” won a Golden Globe award for best foreign-language film and was nominated for an Oscar. “The Congress” screens at 7 p.m. at Brava Theater, 2781 24th St., S.F.
