A “town hall” meeting seeking ideas on how to create an aging-friendly community in the East Bay will be held Sunday, June 1 in Oakland.

It’s part of the “Longevity Revolution,” a yearlong project of the Jewish Federation of the East Bay, Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay, area congregations and the Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living in Danville. The organizations are exploring how they can best work together to respond to the needs of the aging Jewish community.

Meetings earlier this year have focused on challenges and community building, with panel discussions by local experts. The June 1 session seeks input so initiatives can be developed to accomplish the overall goal of better serving the aging community.

Pariticpants are encouraged to “share your vision and make your voice heard.” The meeting will take place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Temple Sinai, 2808 Summit St., Oakland. For more information, visit www.jfed.org/longevityrevolution or call (510) 318-6453.
