Correspondent | January 1, 2015 Berkeley Repertory Theatre is bringing back the one-woman show “The Pianist of Willesden Lane,” starring pianist Mona Golabek. The play, which tells the wartime story of Golabek’s Holocaust-refugee mother, was one of the biggest hits in Berkeley Rep history, selling out 52 performances of its 2013 scheduled run and 29 performances of its extension. Based on the book “The Children of Willesden Lane” by Golabek and Lee Cohen, the play features Golabek portraying her mother, Lisa Jura, and performing classical masterpieces on stage.
