Correspondent | January 16, 2015 S.F.-based Jewish Family and Children’s Services is offering assistance filling out FAFSA forms (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at a series of workshops this month. The two-hour “cash for college” evening sessions will be held at four JFCS locations in the Bay Area. Participants will receive help completing their 2015-16 FAFSA application. College applicants of any age are welcome. Twelfth-graders are encouraged to attend with a parent and should bring a laptop computer. In addition to filling out the application, participants will learn about resources on other available scholarships, grants and student loans. The workshops are offered by JFCS’ Financial Aid Center and will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the following JFCS locations: Jan. 22 at 200 Channing Way, Palo Alto; Jan. 27 at 2001 Winward Way, San Mateo; Jan. 29 at 2245 Post St., S.F.; and Jan. 30 at 600 Fifth Ave., San Rafael.
