Taylor Swift to sing in Tel Aviv

Will Taylor Swift perform in Israel this summer? At least four Israeli producers and agents reportedly have been holding advanced talks in recent weeks with the American pop star’s representatives for a concert at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park.

According to sources in the Israeli music industry, competition is tight among the producers, with the highest offer so far at around $2.5 million. None of the producers has reached the contract stage.

If the talks succeed, the pop star will likely perform in Tel Aviv in June as part of her world tour. Her first stop will be Cologne, Germany, on June 19.

Swift, 25, is considered one of the top superstars in the global music industry, breaking records in almost every category — from prestigious awards to album sales.

Her second album, “Fearless,” released in 2008, won four Grammy Awards, with Swift becoming the youngest ever album of the year winner. Swift has sold more than 30 million albums and 80 million digital single downloads to date. — ynetnews.com
