Bassoon takes center stage. “Homecoming,” one of the largest-scale Jewish pieces written for bassoon, has its world premiere as part of the Jewish Music Festival. Commissioned for the festival, the piece was composed by bassoonist-saxophonist Paul Hanson (pictured), who will perform with a five-member ensemble.
