Ruth Gottlieb

Ruth Gottlieb passed away on April 7, 2015. She celebrated the arts every day, sharing her passion with friends, family and professional colleagues. Despite being diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy, she never lost her passion and continued sharing her amazing energy and panache. As program coordinator of the Contemporary Collectors Circle at Stanford University’s Cantor Arts Center, Ruth spent nearly 20 years educating collectors by leading art tours of private and public collections worldwide.

She passed away at the age of 76. Ruth is predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Jerome. She is survived by her brother Irwin Weiss of Las Vegas; two sons, Adam Gottlieb of Davis, California, and Geoffrey Gottlieb of Los Angeles; daughters-in-law Elizabeth Nelson and Rebecca Plack; and twin grandchildren, Jonah and Margo. A celebration of Ruth’s life is being planned for her Northern California friends and family.
