Jewish Life Seniors | Volunteers needed in N. Bay Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | June 12, 2015 Seniors At Home, a program of S.F.-based Jewish Family and Children’s Services, has expanded its older adult visiting program to provide more intensive support to those with a history of mental health issues. Volunteers are needed in Sonoma County for one-hour weekly visits with seniors, to help them engage more fully in their communities. Volunteers will be working on specific goals to help older adults combat their isolation, loneliness and depression. No previous knowledge of working with seniors is required; training and ongoing support will be provided. The JFCS Rides Program also is looking for helpers to transport seniors to appointments, the grocery store, social events, etc. For more information on either program, contact Barbara Tobin at (707) 303-1510 or email [email protected] J.
