Married 50 years on June 12, 2015, Gary and Susie Fishtrom celebrated their wedding anniversary with family and friends while on a two-week trip to Italy.
The couple met through B’nai B’rith. Gary’s sister, Marlene, joined Susie’s San Francisco No. 1 BBG chapter and introduced the two in 1964. They became engaged in November 1964 and married the next year on June 12, 1965. The Fishtroms have three sons, Daniel, the late Chris, and Robert Fishtrom. Brittany, Noah, Madi, Sarah, Katie, Ben and Chrissy Fishtrom are their grandchildren.
Norman and Carolynn Licht (nee Pinsler) were born in San Francisco and married 65 years ago in San Francisco, on Sept. 3, 1950. They have lived in San Carlos for 53 years and previously in San Mateo. They have three children, Diane, Ronald and spouse Cathy, and three grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel and Hana. Norman is a retired optometrist. The couple have been members of Congregation Beth Jacob in Redwood City for 56 years.
