Limmud Bay Area has announced the dates and location for its 2016 conference. It will take place June 24-26 at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, the same site used for the past two years. Attendance will be capped at 400-450, according to Limmud Bay Area board president Mila Wichter; it was limited to 350 this year.

Planning for the fifth annual festival of Jewish learning is underway, although registration is not open yet. Leading a group of volunteer planners, Liki Abrams will continue as conference co-chair; the second 2016 co-chair is to be determined, Wichter said in an email. The conference is run entirely by volunteers.

Limmud Bay Area sent a message to its email list regarding a date conflict with San Francisco Pride for the second straight year. The situation “gives the appearance that Limmud Bay Area is not considering the importance of SF Pride to many members of our community. That is not the case,” the letter said, adding, “Inclusivity is one of the most critical core values of Limmud.”
