Frieda Shapiro
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Oct. 9, 2015. Born in Russia in 1919, Frieda arrived in San Francisco at age 1 and resided there ever since.
Preceded in death by her husband, Howard Shapiro, she is survived by her children Susan (Paul) Shwartz, Carol Gutstein and Rob (Flora) Shapiro;
her grandchildren Janet (Michael) Miller, Stacy (Ola) Olagundoye, Jason and Lauren Gutstein, and Nicole and Alison Shapiro; and great-grandchildren Noah, Matthew and Molly Miller, and Alena and Cate Olagundoye.
Frieda was devoted to her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Private services were held at Salem Memorial Park, Colma. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Arthritis Foundation or a charity of your choice.
