Friends and family from near and far joyfully gathered to celebrate the wedding of Emma Johns and Joshua Ray Shak on May 17. Rabbi Joshua Lesser of Atlanta conducted the ceremony under the chuppah in the garden of Kohl Mansion.
Emma is the daughter of Debbie Irvine and John Jay Johns of Austin, Texas, and Joshua is the son of Gail and Steven Shak of Hillsborough. Josh and Emma met while in medical school at Emory University. After a honeymoon in Thailand, Josh and Emma relocated to San Francisco, where they are doing their medical residencies at UCSF. Their friends and family are delighted to welcome them home to the Bay Area.
