Applications are now being accepted for the 2016 Great Jewish Books Summer Program, a weeklong residential program at the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, Massachusetts. Sessions are July 24-29 and July 31-Aug. 7.

At Great Jewish Books, rising juniors and seniors are introduced to a wide range of modern Jewish novels, poems and short stories by diverse writers such as Sholem Aleichem and Etgar Keret.

Classes are seminar-style, led by college professors.

Those accepted to the competitive program receive full scholarships covering tuition, room and board, books, and special events. Applications are due by April 1. For more information, visit yiddishbookcenter.org/great-jewish-books.
