The Jewish Community Center of Sonoma County will host “A Day of Jewish Learning” on Sunday, Feb. 28 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Nearly 20 presentations will be broken into three one-hour sessions beginning at 1 p.m. Classes will fill up on a first-come, first-served basis. Among the offerings: “Yoga and Live Sacred Music,” “Yiddish Humor and Sholem Aleichem’s Comic Characters,” “The Story of a Jewish Heretic,” “Nature-Connected Qigung and Kabbalah,” “Fifty Shades of Jacob: Do Concubines Count?” and “Klezmer 101.” A social hour with music will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
“A Day of Jewish Learning” is sponsored by Lehrhaus Judaica, the Koret Foundation and the North Bay Bohemian. It will take place at the Finley Community Center, 2060 W. College Ave., Santa Rosa.
