Roméo Dallaire

Doing the right thing. During the 1994 Rwandan genocide, Lt.-Gen. Roméo Dallaire, then head of the United Nations peacekeeping force, was instrumental in saving more than 30,000 civilians. Dallaire, a Canadian who received an honorary doctoral degree for his humanitarian efforts, will discuss his experience during the Rwandan crisis, his insights into the current Syrian crisis and the impact that everyday decisions have on the world.
