Here’s what we’re reading: a linguistic analysis of Bernie Sanders’ accent; Donald Trump’s semi-denial of Hitler affinity; and the amazing and unfortunate story of a cocaine-snorting priest’s Nazi fascination.

“Bernie Sanders’s accent is a linguistic fossil from a very particular place and time,” notes Vox about this fun little video analyzing the presidential hopeful’s accent and what it tells us about him:

Does Donald Trump read Adolf Hitler? That’s the question raised by this piece in Tablet. In a 1990 Vanity Fair article about him, Ivana Trump, his first wife, said that Trump keeps a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, “My New Order” by his bed. Trump’s response:

“If I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them.”

This headline has it all: “Blowman Catholic: Nazi hoard priest snorts cocaine in shocking video,” reads this story in The Sun. And it pretty much does what it says on the tin. Said one witness:

“The house was lovely but we were stunned to see the Nazi stuff. It was all over the house. At one point Stephen put on a cap and did the Nazi salute.”
