A son, Aryeh Lawrence Diamant, Hebrew name Aryeh Lior, was born on June 8, 2016, to Alexandra and Joshua Diamant of Berkeley. Paternal grandparents are Debbie and Steven Diamant of St. James, New York; maternal grandparents are Shoshana and Yaakov Nurik of Benicia. The baby is named after his four great-grandfathers — Maurice (Avram Moshe) Deutscher, Irving Alvin Nurik, Alvin Moscowitz and Charles Leon Diamant — and his great-uncle, Lawrence Deutscher.
