“Morning Prayer” by Averie Cohen and “Secret Garden” oil on canvas by Marina Goldberg are among 114 works on display at the Community Art Show.

The Peninsula Jewish Community Center in Foster City will host a reception and awards presentation July 31 for its community art show, which features 114 works by 82 local artists. The second annual juried show features mixed media, photography and handcrafted jewelry.

Foster City Mayor Herb Perez will present awards to 12 artists at the reception, which takes place from 2 to 4 p.m., and center CEO Paul Geduldig will present the Community Choice Award, to be decided by public vote. (The ballot box is located in the PJCC lobby; voting closes just prior to the awards presentation.)

The extensive exhibit — planned and run by community members — is free to the public and on display through Sept. 25. The PJCC is located at 800 Foster City Blvd. — dalia jude
