Yael Goldblatt
April 15, 1953–Sept. 4, 2016
Yael died surrounded by her beloved sons Jonathan and Ethan and her husband of 36 years, Rabbi Dan Goldblatt. In addition, she is survived by her sisters Bilha Aharonson of Hod HaSharon and Leah Liberman Bender of Jerusalem; her in-laws, Bernie and Leslie Goldblatt of Minneapolis, and their children Talia (her husband Ari and children Lila and Nili), Aviva, and Leora; Dr. David and Cooky Goldblatt of Austin and their children Sarah (her husband Brian and son Gabriel), and Shayna (and her fiance Patrick); Ellen Goldblatt and Bob Rothstein of Seattle and their children Leah and David.
The funeral was held at Beth Chaim Congregation in Danville on Sept. 8 with burial at Gan Shalom Cemetery in Martinez. There will be public shiva gatherings at Beth Chaim on Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.

Reeva Goldberg Perr (94) passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, in Los Gatos, California. She was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, educated at the University of Pittsburgh, and lived in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, where she raised her family of four children. She moved to California 25 years ago to be close to her grandchildren.
Reeva was an elementary school teacher and was proud of breaking the “Jewish ceiling” in being the first Jewish teacher in her local school district. She was dedicated to Jewish organizations including sisterhood, B’nai B’rith, Hadassah, ORT and Brandeis University.
Reeva was the beloved wife of Joseph Perr, who predeceased her by
40 years. She will be missed by four children including Bay Area residents Max Perr (Dr. Holly Christman) and Abby Perr-Baker (Tom Baker); and New York daughters Natalie and Michelle Perr. She was loved by grandchildren Eli and Luca Perr of San Francisco and Joey (Rachel), Phillip and Jacob Baker of Saratoga.
