Podcast | Is there any way Anthony Weiner is good for the Jews

EPISODE #120: “Mel, Anthony, Hillary, Don.”

Against the subtle hum of Game 7 of the 2016 World Series, the boys convene in the Twilight Lounge to shout “Jew-S-A! Jew-S-A!” and ruminate on topics ranging from urban skunks to Rosen’s confusion over the intent of stickers reading “Free Gaza!” Anti-semitism is again on the slate, as the gap between the quality of Mel Gibson’s newly-released movie and his personality leaves our hosts unable to reach consensus. Later, Rosen tries in vain to mine the question:

Is there any way Anthony Weiner can be good for the Jews?

In vain because the short answer is: no. Instead, Goldbrener wants to talk about “the emails,” the nature of running for political office, the actual substance of segments of Donald Trump’s political platform and, ultimately, to deliver the podcast equivalent of a mic drop, but not until after Rosen asks if “it doesn’t get any worse than that” when discussing the antics of Ted Kennedy. Has Rosen been tricked? You decide.
