New twists on Old World Jewish cuisine: Owners of the Gefilteria in New York City and co-authors of “The Gefilte Manifesto” cookbook, Liz Alpern and Jeffrey Yoskowitz are about to hit the Bay Area for five events in five days. The lineup includes a “Manifesto”-inspired dinner at Saul’s Deli in Berkeley, a fried-pickle demonstration at the JCCSF and a pop-up kosher dinner in Palo Alto in collaboration with L’Chaim Foods.
