One Bay One Book 2016-17 will kick off Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the JCC of San Francisco, with Michael Chabon in conversation with fellow Jewish novelist Peter Orner in a JCCSF Arts & Ideas event.
The 7 p.m. talk is sold out but will be live streamed.
“Moonglow” is the fifth book in One Bay One Book, a program of the Jewish Community Library, which runs under the auspices of S.F.-based Jewish LearningWorks.
Previous books were “What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank” by Nathan Englander (2012-13), “A Guide for the Perplexed” by Dara Horn (2013-14), “The Betrayers” by David Bezmozgis (2014-15) and “The Periodic Table” by Primo Levi (2015-16).

In the coming year, Jewish institutions throughout the Bay Area will be hosting book events focused on the issues raised in “Moonglow.” Also, Chabon is scheduled for three local bookstore talks in December. Visit the program website for more information.
