Wilensky | January 20, 2017 A group of Jews under the banner of #JewishResistance are protesting in front of the Israeli Consulate in San Francisco this morning. “We’re telling that the consulate that we don’t support the ongoing occupation of Palestine and the way that it’s connected with militarized policing here in the U.S.,” media contact Faryn Borella told J. “We don’t support Trump appointments like Jared Kushner to oversee the peace process and David Friedman as ambassador to Israel. They will not move toward a peaceful resolution or an end to the occupation.” A total of 40 protesters have been there over the course of the morning, Borella said. As of 11:00 a.m., 12 of them are chained together in front of the building blocking access to the front door. “Just the main entrance. We can still go in and out,” Deputy Consul General Ravit Baer told J. “We’re working as usual.” There are police officers present, but they are “just hanging out at the moment,” Borllea said. No one from the Consulate has come out to speak with the protesters. David A.M. Wilensky David A.M. Wilensky is director of news product at J.
