‘Love Sick,’ theater company’s first English work, adds performances

“Love Sick,” the new musical by Ofra Daniel of the Berkeley-based Jewish Circle Theatre, has extended its run until March 19 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.

The play is “a love story derived from the Song of Songs, and the language is music,” Daniel told J. in January. Daniel leads the cast and wrote the music with Lior Ben-Hur, a widely known San Francisco-based musician.

“Love Sick” opened in January in Berkeley to glowing reviews, then moved to Mountain View, where it was scheduled to run until March 12.

The play is Jewish Circle Theatre’s first English-language production. For more information and tickets, go to mvcpa.com.
