StandWithUs demonstrators outside theater at Fort Mason News Bay Area Rachel Corrie play draws protesters from StandWithUs Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Staff | May 9, 2017 Activists from the pro-Israel group StandWithUs have protested outside San Francisco’s Magic Theatre the past two Sundays at performances of “My Name Is Rachel Corrie,” a one-woman play recounting the life and death of the 23-year-old American activist who was a member of the pro-Palestinian International Solidarity Movement. Corrie was killed in 2004 when she stood in front of an armored Israel Defense Forces bulldozer during a confrontation between Israeli soldiers and ISM activists. The StandWithUs demonstrators said in a release that they were protesting because the play “leaves the victims of the campaign of Palestinian terror invisible.” The play closes on May 14. J.
