Staff | May 21, 2017 The Jewish Community Relations Council is hosting a Jewish Heritage Month celebration 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 24 at San Francisco City Hall. “The San Francisco Jewish community has made countless contributions to the city’s cultural heritage, civic fortitude and economic growth, and we are looking forward to an exhilarating program commemorating these deep historical ties,” according to the JCRC website. The event is co-sponsored by Mayor Ed Lee and city Supervisors Aaron Peskin and Hillary Ronen. May is a national month of recognition of the more than 350-year history of Jewish contributions to American culture.
