Staff | October 27, 2017 The Day of Philanthropy hosted each year by the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation brings together donors and Bay Area Jewish community leaders, along with the tax and financial planning professionals who formalize their relationships. This year’s event, set for Nov. 7 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, will feature sessions ranging from a discussion about art and philanthropy to a presentation on the purchase of U.S. real estate by non-Americans. The Federation also will present two philanthropy awards — Dana Corvin will receive the Robert Sinton Award for Distinguished Leadership and Abra Annes Sills will be honored with the Lloyd W. Dinkelspiel Award for Young Leadership. Leonard Lauder, chairman emeritus of Estée Lauder Companies and the senior member of its board of directors, will be the keynote speaker. Lauder’s philanthropic activities range from the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation to New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art.
