The first will be on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the comopany’s baking location at the Food Mill, 3033 MacArthur Avenue in Oakland. More are planned for Nov. 18 and Dec. 16. Owner Sam Tobis confirmed that he’s been working on a new bagel for a while now, and it’s ready for its debut. Bagels will be available by the dozen and in sandwiches at the Food Mill and at a few select retailers. Grand Bakery is certified kosher by the Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California.
