In normal times, Gatsby specializes in Jewish entertainment, providing DJs and emcees, bands, dancers and other entertainers, plus photo booths and lighting. At bar and bat mitzvahs, “We get your party started with games, competitions and our MCs set the tone for a fun and energetic party.”

Joel Nelson, a perennial J. Readers’ Choice winner, has been in the local entertainment industry since 1981. He leads his own band and provides DJs, emcees, dancers and entertainment to the Bay Area’s Jewish market. “We sing in Hebrew, teach Israeli dances if requested and can even lead the Birkat,” the grace after meals, according to Joel.
